Ben Affleck Teams Up With Disney To Direct ‘Keeper Of The Lost Cities’ Adaptation

Ben Affleck has teamed up with Disney for his next project.

According to Deadline, the 48-year-old actor will be stepping behind the camera to direct an adaption of “Keeper of the Lost Cities”, which is based on the novel by Shannon Messenger.

Here’s the summary for the “Keeper of the Lost Cities” book: 12-year-old Sophie Foster has a secret. She’s a Telepath–someone who can read minds. It’s a talent she’s never known how to explain. Everything changes the day she meets Fitz, a mysterious (and adorable) boy who appears out of nowhere, and who can also read minds like her.

She discovers there’s somewhere she does belong, and that staying with her family will put her in grave danger. In the blink of an eye. Sophie is forced to leave behind everything and start a new life in a place that is vastly different from what she has ever known.

There are a total of eight books in the series.

This isn’t the first time Ben will be directing. He’s known for his work on Gone Baby Gone, The Town and Argo.

He’ll also be directing the upcoming The Big Goodbye as well.

Just recently, it was revealed that Ben is in talks to star in a George Clooney movie! Get the details here…
