Everything Beyoncé touches turns to gold. Want proof? Just glimpse at the dazzling, golden dresses she wore to The Lion King premiere in London last weekend.
The Grammy-award-winning singer was last spotted leaving the after party for The Lion King wearing a gold silk midi-length slip by Dion Lee, which she appropriately paired with strappy gold sandals. She finished the look with a trench coat by the designer that was also – yes, again – a stunning shade of gold.
Earlier in the evening, Beyoncé – who voices Nala in the reboot of the 1994 Disney animated film – strutted the red carpet at the premiere in a different gold number, this time dressed in a custom Cong Tri gown that had rivulets of gold fabric cascading down her. For makeup, she dusted her eyes with golden glitter.
This was also the dress that Queen Bey wore when she first met Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle, who made a rare public appearance during her maternity leave in order to attend the film’s premiere. The two were adorably spotted gushing over each other as they embraced and talked on the red carpet, while their husbands, Jay-Z and Prince Harry, looked on. Let’s hope Beyoncé also has the Midas touch for this blossoming friendship!
The Lion King will be released in theaters on July 19.
