Vinnie Jones encourages fans to speak out if they’re struggling
Vinnie Jones, 56, has recalled a time when fans believed he had brought a Brad Pitt look-alike with him to Walthamstow’s greyhound racing stadium after getting to know the Hollywood star while they filmed Snatch together. However, the former professional footballer and actor admitted “mayhem” ensued once people realised Brad was actually in the stadium with him.
Speaking about the funny moment in an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk, Vinnie divulged: “I remember the time Brad Pitt called me and said, ‘What are you doing?’
“And I said, ‘I’m going to Walthamstow dog track’ and he said, ‘I’m so bored, I’m at The Dorchester, can I come with you?’
“So he came with us, and for a couple of hours everyone thought it was me messing around and I’d brought a Brad Pitt lookalike to the dog track.
“But once they found out it was definitely him, it went a bit mayhem so we slid him out the back door.”(sic)

Although the Once Upon A Time In Hollywood actor had to make a hasty exit, he took the opportunity to enjoy steak and chips with Vinnie and his daughter at the former greyhound racing stadium beforehand.
Vinnie continued: “His driver got him and whisked him off but before, we had a couple of winners and he shared his steak and chips with my daughter.”
Praising his co-star for being “down to earth” despite his international fame, Vinnie added: “He’s down to earth, I used to play cards with him and he’s a great, great geezer.
“I was surprised he wasn’t British actually, he’s so cool.”
Snatch, which was directed by Guy Ritchie, was released in 2000.
The comedy/crime epic starred Vinnie, Brad, Jason Statham and Benicio del Toro.
Vinnie went on to open up about befriending The Godfather star Robert Duvall when they both starred in Gone in 60 Seconds.
He said: “I think the first actor I befriended was Robert Duvall.

“He was such a great guy, real old Hollywood, but he was prepared to help us youngsters around him and he was the one that told me, ‘Always learn the other actors’ lines better than your own so you know what the scene is.’
“His partner used to make cakes and bring them into the trailer and we all hung out in his trailer, it was fantastic, on Gone in 60 Seconds.
“I thought, ‘Crikey, what a lovely family this is!’”
Vinnie revealed he also experienced finding the “good and bad in people” during his football career.
He played as a defensive midfielder from 1984 to 1999, for Wimbledon, Leeds United, Sheffield United, Chelsea, and Queens Park Rangers
He explained: “I found it moving from football club to football club, you find the good and bad in people.
“Some people put an arm round you, some people will invite you round for Sunday lunch, some people don’t.
“And that’s the same thing with the acting to be fair.”
