Charlotte Crosby has shown her support for animal rights organisation PETA on Instagram by submerging herself in a tiny tank filled with water.
The former Geordie Shore star, 29, shared a post on her Instagram which sees her trapped inside a tiny tank filled with water as she bangs on the glass to highlight the claustrophobia that killer whales feel being trapped in their tanks.
Charlotte captioned the post: “So incredibly honoured to work alongside @petauk for this INCREDIBLE campaign for the animals that lie closest to my heart.
“Please I urge every1 to watch and share… the full version is now on my YouTube channel.”
The heartbreaking video shows killer whales swimming around in tiny tanks as onlookers watch and Charlotte replicates how claustrophobic the whales feel whilst immersing herself in the small tank.
Speaking in the video the Sunderland-born star says: “I love entertaining people but animals aren’t given a choice and that’s abuse.

“Obviously Black Fish had a massive input for me for finding out exactly all of the in-depth details about it, but I knew about it a while before that.”
She continued: “Going to a park like that, they don’t tell you that it’s cruel. I would feel so claustrophobic being in such a small space. You would start to go a little bit insane.
“You’re just looking at the same place every single day and it’s not right and it’s not normal. It’s not normal for a human and it’s not normal for an animal. It’s just not normal.
“Wild animals, especially the sizes of whales should be kept in their natural environment and not in tanks. So obviously it’s massively cruel and I want everyone to know that because I feel like a lot of people don’t actually understand how cruel it is.
“And when people are educated on that it might change their minds to ever stepping in a park again. The more you go the more you’re giving them the money.”
Submerged in water, Charlotte looks as though she’s struggling as she comes up to the top for air whilst submerged in such a small space.
And fans have commented to praise Charlotte on the incredible campaign with PETA to stop the cruelty to the whales.
“Finally someone’s said it!! I don’t agree with it it’s cruel. Well said Charlotte,” wrote one. [sic]
Another added: “Well done”, whilst another praised: “Totally love this, thanks for getting on board and highlighting this issue.”
PETA’s campaign against SeaWorld is ongoing and hopes to help the whales confined to and cramped in concrete tanks at the amusement parks, which they’ve coined ‘abusement’ parks, across the countries they reside in.
Charlotte has shown her huge passion for the cause amid her split with long-term boyfriend Josh Ritchie.
