Laura Anderson has revealed her 'shock' over falling pregnant during her first time trying with ex-boyfriend Gary Lucy.
The former Love Island star, 34, found out that she was expecting a baby girl with her actor ex, 41, at the tail-end of last year when she was just two weeks along.
Talking with OK! this week, the Scottish star shared that while the news wasn't a total surprise – as they had planned to start a family anyway – how quickly it happened was a shock.
“I was still very shocked, because I didn’t expect it to happen,” she says. “It was planned and it was both of our decisions to have a baby. I always imagined having that traditional family set-up in my thirties."

Continuing she added: “It was our first time trying. I called Gary and told him. His reaction was, ‘I told you!’ It was a shock. It took a while to really sink in, but we were happy. It was definitely a positive thing.”
While the little one will be Laura's first, it's baby number five for Gary – who shares children India, Elvis, Sadie and Theodore with his ex-wife Natasha Gray.
After finding out about the pregnancy early, the first-time mum and former Emirates air stewardess proceeded to have an early scan at eight weeks and also found out she’s having a girl via blood test.
She shared: "I always thought I’d love a boy and a girl, but when we were waiting to find out, I somehow knew it was a girl. I don’t know why, I had an instinct."
While they look forward to welcoming their bundle of joy this year, it's not been an easy ride for estranged couple Laura and Gary – with their split hitting headlines around the same time that the pregnancy was announced.
The pair met during a stint on Celebs Go Dating, where they hoped to find love with singletons not in the public eye, but ended up falling for one another instead.
But a whirlwind romance, pregnancy and break-up has left the rumour mill rife. Things became strained when Gary announced the gender of their unborn baby on social media.
The actor shared an image of a caption that read “Daddy’s Girl” to his Instagram followers, despite Laura hoping to keep the information under wraps at the time.
But Laura hopes to be civil with her ex until they welcome their baby girl and begin a journey of co-parenting together.
She shared with OK!: “There are a lot of emotions going around for everyone, so it’s difficult. Being able to be civil from now until the birth and then after would be my goal.”
