Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Had a "Quiet" Thanksgiving Dinner with a "Home-Cooked Meal"

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry celebrated their first Thanksgiving with baby Archie in their new Montecito home, and it sounds like they had a cozy day focused on good food and family. According to a Thanksgiving morning tweet from royal reporter Omid Scobie, Meghan and Harry were “going to have a quiet dinner at home and are looking forward to celebrating their first American Thanksgiving in the States as a family.”

A source added that the couple were planning a “home cooked meal with traditional Thanksgiving dishes, including recipes made with fresh vegetables from their garden.”

A cosy (and first) Thanksgiving for the Sussex family, who will be celebrating together at home in California.

According to People, Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland joined them for the holiday, with a source saying, “They are very happy … Archie is thriving and growing quickly. As a family, they spend hours outside.”

Ahead of Thanksgiving, Meghan published a powerful op-ed in the New York Times about her experience suffering a miscarriage over the summer—and also spoke at length about the importance of checking in on each other over the holiday. She concluded the essay by encouraging people to ask “Are you OK?” and ended with the powerful words, “We will be.”
