The half-sister of the Duchess of Sussex criticizes the mom of two for not mentioning their father when she recalled her time at Immaculate Heart High School in an episode of her ‘Archetypes’ podcast.
AceShowbiz –Meghan Markle‘s half-sister Samantha has a lot to say about the Duchess of Sussex’s claims in an episode of her podcast “Archetypes”. Samantha slammed the mom of two for not mentioning their father when she recalled her time at Immaculate Heart High School in the said episode.
Speaking with GB News’ host Dan Wootton, Samantha criticized Meghan for failing to point out that it was their father who “paid for everything,” including the school fees. “She did bring up the fact that she went to Immaculate Heart,” Samantha shared.
She went on to note that while Meghan discussed that “they were empowered at Immaculate Heart by the nuns to be independent women,” the Duchess didn’t reveal “who paid for Immaculate Heart.” She added, “That was all my dad.”
“Let’s face it, we are not in a vacuum. There are others who help us along the way, who support us, who love us, who bring us up and who pay for everything that gives us a platform,” Samantha continued.
Meghan debuted her podcast earlier this month with Serena Williams serving as her first guest. Titled “The Misconception of Ambition with Serena Williams”, the episode saw the wife of Prince Harry sharing that she never felt a “negative connotation” to her ambition until she dated the British royal. “This feminist ideology trickled down into nearly every aspect of my education. It’s probably safe to say into every aspect of my life,” Meghan, who shares Archie (3) and Lilibet (14 months) with Harry, explained.
“I don’t remember ever personally feeling the negative connotation behind the word ‘ambitious’ until I started dating my now-husband,” the former “Suits” actress added. “Apparently ambition is a terrible, terrible thing, for a woman that is – according to some. So, since I’ve felt the negativity behind it, it’s really hard to un-feel it. I can’t unsee it, either, in the millions of girls and women who make themselves smaller – so much smaller – on a regular basis.”
“Archetypes” is proven to be a hit as it topped Spotify’s podcast chart in not only the United States, but also Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom, following its debut. In the U.S. chart, Meghan’s podcast took over the top spot from Joe Rogan‘s popular podcast “The Joe Rogan Experience” which has been the top podcast on Spotify ever since it became an exclusive to the streaming service in May 2020.
