The highly anticipated Mayhem Festival has postponed its comeback event until 2021.
The festival’s official Instagram posted a message saying, “As we’re sure you’ve guessed.. due to the pandemic we have to sit this summer out, but 2021 we plan on being back in full swing.”
The festival originally teased its 2020 comeback last December following a five-year absence. Mayhem was founded in 2008 by Vans Warped Tour’s Kevin Lyman and his partner John Reese.
Over the years, several heavy metal bands have performed at the festival including Slipknot, Slayer, Motionless In White, Asking Alexandria and Underoath.
