SZA's 'SOS' Earns Record-Breaking 18th Week Atop Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart

SZA‘s SOS has earned a record-breaking 18th week atop Billboard‘s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart.

SOS is now the longest reigning No. 1 by a solo woman in the chart’s 58-year history, breaking a tie with Aretha Franklin‘s Aretha Now.

SZA has broken Aretha’s 54-year-old record as her Aretha Now reigned for 17 weeks in 1968.

SOS earned 56,000 equivalent album units in the April 28-May 4 charting week, according to Luminate.

SZA’s single “Kill Bill” broke the record for the longest ruling No. 1 on Billboard‘s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart by a woman last month.

SOS is followed by Jackman. by Jack Harlow, Heroes & Villains by Metro Boomin, Don’t Try This At Home by YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Her Loss by Drake and 21 Savage, The Highlights by The Weeknd, Starboy by The Weeknd, My Turn by Lil Baby, It’s Only Me by Lil Baby, and Certified Lover Boy by Drake
