Last night, the Lakers defeated the Miami Heat 106–93, taking home the NBA title for the first time in since 2010. The win comes nine months after Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna tragically died in a helicopter crash, and Kobe’s wife Vanessa paid tribute to them while congratulating the team.
Sharing a photo of Kobe and Lakers General Manager Rob Pelinka, Vanessa wrote, “Go Lakers! Congratulations Uncle P! Congratulations @Lakers! Kobe was right RP, ‘Stay the course- block out the noise’ @kobebryant. Wish Kobe and Gigi were here to see this.”
LeBron James also opened up about Kobe after the game, saying, “We got as close as you possibly can be, when that moment happened.
