Dracula's Transylvanian Castle Has Been Turned Into a COVID-19 Vaccination Site

Travelers can now get COVID-19 vaccinations at Bran Castle aka Dracula’s castle in Transylvania, Romania.

With tourism suffering greatly due to the pandemic, the castle’s marketing team has come up with a creative way to tie the castle’s history with the jab. “The idea was to show how people got jabbed 500-600 years ago in Europe,” commented the castle’s marketing director, Alexandru Priscu. The “jab” he is referring to alludes to the 52 medieval torture devices inside the castle.

With Romania having one of the highest vaccine hesitancy levels in Europe, this new initiative offers free Pfizer shots along with a free tour of the 14th-century castle. Those in the area can attend this event each weekend during the month of May.

In other travel news, NYC plans to fully reopen on July 1.
