'Evangelion: 3.0+1.0' Will be the Longest 'Rebuild of Evangelion' Film

As fans continue to patiently wait for the premiere of Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time, the run time and rating for the final Rebuild of Evangelion film has now surfaced.

Earlier this week, Eirin, Japan’s Film Classification and Rating Organization (Eirin), posted its latest list of screen works that accidentally included the delayed feature. Quick fans took note and reported that Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 will be two hours and 34 minutes long with a G rating for all audiences. The 154-minute runtime trumps all the previous films from the tetralogy that came in at just 112, 100, and 95 minutes long.

Late last year, some fans voiced worry that Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 would be six hours long following a cryptic tweet from series creator and director Hideaki Anno.

Originally set for a delayed-release January 23, the premiere of Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time has been pushed back indefinitely after Japan announced a new state of emergency.

For more entertainment news, Tom Cruise will not be filming Mission: Impossible 7 and 8 back-to-back anymore.
