Lexus continues its ascent into the future by taking its virtual interiors concept to a new level with the help of digital supermodel Shudu. This comes on the heels of the brand’s unveiling of its collaboration with three luminary designers, including Salehe Bembury, Ondrej Zunka and Hender Scheme, each of whom reimagined the interior of the LF-Z Electrified, a concept vehicle that embodies the future of the brand. Bringing the forward thinking design from artist Ondrej Zunka even closer to reality, Shudu — the self-proclaimed first digital supermodel — takes the car for a virtual test drive.
Zunka’s approach to reimagining the LF-Z Electrified interiors is rooted in his otherworldly approach to digital and 3D art. It’s a fitting setting for Shudu to experience, considering both the interiors concept and the model exist in a space that explores the intersection of reality and digital art. Even better, it’s a representation of Lexus’ continued commitment to bridging the gap between various creative outlets — this time, merging the worlds of fashion, art and automotive design. Shudu brings this to life by taking the wheel of Zunka’s re-envisioned LF-Z Electrified car. The model invites a human touch into the concept, bringing an element of beauty and warmth to the design, which features space-age mechanisms, sci-fi materials and nods to artificial intelligence without compromising the human experience.
For her part, Shudu lends her equally as pioneering spirit to the Lexus virtual interiors. The digital supermodel has brought her own element of futurism to real world collaborations, having graced the pages of publications like Vogue Australia, Glamour Brasil and Harper’s Bazaar Arabia. She also worked with Lexus last year on the brand’s Freedom to Move project, which featured masks created by Nigerian architect Tosin Oshinowo and British textile designer Chrissa Amuah.
