Nothing Teases New ear (1) Wireless Earbuds Colorway

Following the release of Nothing‘s highly-acclaimed ear (1) wireless earbuds in August, the Carl Pei-fronted brand has returned to release the listening device in an all-new, black colorway.

“A lighter touch,” the brand wrote on Twitter, with an image of the freshly-renovated earbuds.

The Nothing ear (1) earbuds, which are listed for $99 USD, supply up to 34 hours of listening and deliver top-notch sound quality via an 11.6mm driver created in partnership with Teenage Engineering. Weighing just 4.7g, each earbud is equipped with pressure-relieving vents, ergonomic design and three liquid silicone tips for customized fitting.

Additionally, users can turn on the “active noise cancellation” feature to “capture and cancel” unwanted background noise. When finished, users can revert to “transparent mode,” which grants the return of surrounding noise, with the simple touch of a button.

The device itself boasts a high-tech appearance. “We believe in windows, not walls,” the brand writes on its website. “We gave ear (1) transparent veneers to highlight and celebrate the craftsmanship underneath, and reveal the raw beauty of our technology.”

Nothing has not yet disclosed a release date for the updated colorway, though it is likely it will see its debut in the near future.

Elsewhere, Facebook and Instagram messages won’t have full encryption until 2023.
