A British man has died after taking a lethal cocktail of drugs whilst at a popular music festival in Croatia, according to local media reports.
The 21-year-old man, who has not been named, died the day after the opening night of the Hideout Festival Zrce Beach on the Adriatic island of Pag in the northern part of the Croatian coast.
The tourist died on 2nd July but the incident has only just been reported in local media.
He was reportedly on his way back to his rented flat in the town of Novalja when he began to feel unwell.
Reports say he lost consciousness and fell before being found by passersby who called the emergency services.
A local resident has been quoted in local media as saying: "They found him in the bushes. He was still breathing, but with difficulty, he was wheezing. It was a terrifying scene. An ambulance came right away, and they did everything they could, but it was too late."
The young man was transferred to a hospital where he was attached to breathing apparatus but he died shortly on 2nd of July after as a consequence of consuming a fatal combination of cocaine, methamphetamine and amphetamine, according to local media.
