Dolly Parton has recreated her own 1978 Playboy cover as a surprise gift for her husband’s 79th birthday. The couple have been married for more than 50 years.

Dolly Parton, 75, is originally from Locust Ridge, Tennessee, the United States.

She was the fourth of twelve children raised in what she would describe as “a dirt poor” family.

The artist started her career at the young age of 10 years old when she took part in a television show.

She then chose to start a music career, releasing her first single “The Last Thing on My Mind” in 1967.

Dolly received her first Grammy Award in 1978 for her song “Here You Come Again”.

In 2005, she was nominated for an Academy Award for her single “Travelin’ Thru”.

Since then, and after her very successful music career, she has kept active doing appearances and music shows.

But how much is her net worth?

In 2021, Dolly Parton’s net worth was estimated to be £474 million ($650 million). But how did she get so rich?

Dolly has been working in the music industry for more than 40 years.

She released 41 top-10 country albums and 25 number one singles.

She has sold more than 100 million albums as a solo artist alone.

The singer also earned $10 million in royalties in the early 90s after her single “I will always love you” with Whitney Houston.

Dolly is also an entrepreneur and businesswoman, who has invested part of her fortune in her home state Tennessee.

She has a theme park named Dollywood which welcomes more than three million visitors every year becoming one of the most visited theme parks in the US.

Dolly was the cover of Playboy magazine in 1978, and she recently decided to recreate it as a gift for her husband’s birthday.

She dressed in the iconic Playboy bunny suit and proudly posted a video on her social media.

“Remember some time back I said I was going to pose on Playboy magazine when I’m 75?” she said in her video.

“Well, I’m 75 and they don’t have a magazine anymore, but my husband always loved the original cover of Playboy. So I was trying to think of something to do to make him happy. He still thinks I’m a hot chick after 57 years and I’m not going to try to talk him out of that.”

Dolly has been married to Carl Thomas Dean since 1966 but the couple have no children of their own.
