John Barrowman’s idyllic Palm Springs home is one of the incredible properties the TV personality shares with his husband Scott Gill.

The pair exclusively gave OK! magazine a tour of the luxury home in California. The property boasts four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a huge garden, swimming pool, hot tub and shaded veranda.

The house is very spacious and the couple have been together for 28 years, so they are in the midst of an ongoing debating about whether to have children.

John says he’s keen to adopt but Scott, 57, admits he’s not so thrilled at the idea of changing nappies. “I just feel we have a lot of love to give,” John, 53, adds.

The couple already live a very busy life with John currently filming Dancing on Ice. He is on the judging panel alongside Torvill and Dean and Ashley Banjo, after he replaced Jason Gardiner who quit to become an eco-friendly farmer in Portugal last year.

"Chris Dean looks at me and he’s like, “Here’s trouble.” I’m the naughty little brother – well, I shouldn’t say that because Ashley is younger than I am – I’m the naughty big brother."

There are likely looking forward to returning to sunnier climes when the show is over especially as their Californian home is so beautiful. They have decorated it with neutral tones of cream, white, blue and grey, while the artwork, accessories and furnishing give the house its character.

There are a lot of the couple’s hobbies, interests, career and personality in the ornaments and artwork. John is quite the water baby and a stylish statue and painting reflects his passion for swimming.

Of course they don't have to go far to enjoy a pool in real life as they have one in their own back garden.

The immaculately kept garden with its stunning pool, has spectacular views of Mount San Jacinto, the highest peak in Riverside County. Their outdoor area also features a zingy green garden hammock.

Amongst the many figurines and statues dotted around the property there is a few props and figurines from his stint on Doctor Who including a full-sized Dalek and mini Tardis and a figurines of him.

John adored playing Dr Who’s Captain Jack and in the corner of the dining room has “the actual Dalek that killed me!” He bought it off the BBC for £9,500.

The couple are also a fan of art, with many paintings and prints adorning the walls of the property.

Andy Warhol’s Marilyn Monroe pop art print is so striking in their huge kitchen, but our eyes are on the cocktail trolley!

Their island also doubles up as a breakfast bar. John admitted, "The island unit costs more than a car!"

More artwork lines the hallway – almost as colourful as John’s outfit!

The Union Jack canvas is a reflection of his Scottish roots.

The shelving units in the open plan living area feature an array of artwork while the cool grey tones are the ideal antidote to the scorching west coast heat.

"I love the TV room. You sit in this big, relaxing sofa, with a big screen TV, looking out at the view, and the dogs are playing outside."

Scott continued, "John and I have a routine. We cook dinner in the living room, we watch movies, then we go to bed and we watch the late night headlines and read a book." John interjected, "Don’t forget that at 5pm everyday we sit down and have a cocktail."

The gorgeous bedroom has plenty of light and also looks like the perfect place to relax.

Scott told us, "I love waking up in the morning. We can press a button on the bed and the blinds go up." Dreamy!
