Jamie Redknapp's wife Frida Andersson has said she feels "beyond blessed" to have welcomed the couple's first child into the world.
The couple, who tied the knot in October, announced the birth of their baby son yesterday introducing him via their social media channels.
Frida introduced the tot to her 32,000 followers as she said: "Our Viking has arrived" followed by red heart emoji.
The 38 year old continued: "Feeling beyond blessed to have welcomed this precious little boy, Raphael Anders Redknapp,to our family".
The name Raphael Anders is a nod to Frida’s family who is from Sweden, which is also where she was born.
A source close to the family told The Sun it was important that their son had a Swedish connection.
The insider said: "Jamie and Frida wanted to give him a Swedish name too, and Frida loved her late grandfather Anders so they named him after him."
In her message to fans online, Frida also revealed the newborn's Scandinavian inspired nickname.
She wrote: "Our Viking has arrived," a second nod to her Swedish ancestry, before thanking the staff at the hospital:
"A big thank you to all the wonderful doctors and nurses at Chelsea Westminster Hospital."
Frida shared the first photo of herself cuddling up to her newborn son Raphael Anders Redknapp on her Instagram page, after Jamie announced the tot's arrival.
The photo shows the new mum looking blissfully happy while dressed in a dark blue shirt while her son, who is matching in a sleepsuit of the same colour, is sleeping on her chest.
In the post, Frida shared more snaps of the couple's bundle of joy, one of which sees former professional footballer Jamie, 48, kissing his son on the forehead as he sleeps.
