Meghan, Duchess of Sussex was an independent woman long before she stepped into the Britsh Royal Family and shook things up. Though she did her best to abide by the rules and traditions of royal life, as a career woman with her own dreams and aspirations, she found the firm very confining.
Now that the duchess and Prince Harry have decided to step away from the royal family with Megxit — the duchess is regaining a great deal of her freedom and the ability to navigate her own career.
In September 2019 — Meghan delighted everyone when she guest edited British Vogue. Now, it appears that she will be attending the biggest night in fashion when the 2020 Met Gala dazzles New York City in May.

Congratulations to @smartworkscharity who just yesterday, dressed their 200th client with items from #TheSmartSet! In September, this two week campaign launched and because of YOU and your commitment to giving back to the community, over 10,000+ items were purchased. Using the 1:1 model, your contribution made a direct impact for Smart Works and the women mobilising back into the workforce. For every item you purchased, one was donated! You made this happen, and we are so thrilled to see you step up and be part of another woman’s success story. Your active generosity will give the women of Smart Works the tools and confidence boost they so deserve, accompanied by the valuable interview prep, guidance and mentorship Smart Works provides. Thank you for your support, and well done for being a part of this success story! The SmartSet capsule collection of workwear essentials was convened by HRH The Duchess of Sussex with leading UK clothing brands John Lewis, Misha Nonoo, Marks & Spencer, and Jigsaw. Thanks to all who played a part in this special project! The Duchess of Sussex wants to return to her acting roots
Before getting engaged to Prince Harry in November 2017 — the duchess has a starring role on the hit USA drama series, Suits. Now, post-Megxit it appears that she is looking to return to her roots.
“Meghan is actively looking for representation. She has begun outreach,” a source tells Us Weekly. “It can be a manager or an agent, but she’s reaching out to people to find someone to represent her for future professional projects. “[Meghan] has no plans to do another show like Suits, but Harry’s been encouraging her to do more voice-over work, writing, producing and directing in her free time.”
The duchess has already lined up a voiceover gig with Disney, and there are rumors that she would even cossinder an ensemble role in a massive Marvel film, but we’re just going to have to wait and see.
