Whitney Port reveals she suffered a second pregnancy loss

Whitney Port has suffered another pregnancy loss.

The “Hills” alum revealed the heartbreaking news after previously sharing with fans that she was experiencing an “unhealthy” pregnancy.

“I’m so sad to say this, and some of you may have watched our latest YouTube episode, but we lost the baby. We found out yesterday,” Port, 36, wrote in a statement shared to her Instagram Story on Wednesday. “I don’t even really know what to say here.”

Port – who has been married to
Tim Rosenman since 2015 – said that she recorded a “full on verbal diary of all my thoughts and emotions” Tuesday night that she plans to share on an upcoming episode of her podcast, “With Whit.”

“Sending all my love to those of you dealing with this right now,” she concluded her post. “I don’t want to be insensitive by making light of it, but glass half full – I don’t physically feel like complete s–t anymore.”

In a second post, the COZeCO founder was back to business, posting a selfie of her stylish outfit. She told her followers that she wanted to move forward and continue on with her normal life.

“I hate the stark contrast of the past story and this one but s–t happens and now it’s time to distract. Shift my energy elsewhere,” she explained. “I’m passionate about always being vulnerable with you, whether it’s about my body or my work and it’s hard to find a balance of sharing both without feeling like I am selling out.”

She added, “But I’m motivated to get you all feeling as coze as possible, whether that be mentally, physically, or fashionably.”

Earlier this month, Port – who shares 4-year-old son Sonny with her husband – revealed in a YouTube video that she was expecting another child. She said at the time that she was seven weeks pregnant, but that their doctor wasn’t optimistic.

“He said that he was pessimistic about this pregnancy, and he told me to get blood drawn,” she shared. “So, I will get blood results back today and see if numbers are going up or going down. He thinks they’ll likely be going down. And he is having me come in for another ultrasound on Monday.”

Port shared her fear that she wouldn’t be able to provide Sonny with another sibling.

“I definitely feel just scared for myself and my confidence and my self-worth and what this means for that, and also for not being able to give this family what I think would be the best for it,” she had said. “The emotions are obviously very complicated. I still feel very, very pregnant.”

The reality TV star said she wanted to share her fertility struggles with her fans because “there’s likely so many people out there that have had to deal with this.”

Port had already suffered two pregnancy losses: one in July 2019, and another earlier this year in January.

She discussed her second pregnancy loss a month later, saying that it had been caused by a chromosomal issue.

“Basically I got a D&C [dilation and curettage] and they did an autopsy, and the doctor said that it was a chromosomal issue, so the baby was not going to be a healthy baby, and I felt like in that way I had a little bit of closure,” Port said.
