Woman convinced wooden floors were dark makes sickening discovery

A woman was left feeling sick when she experimented by washing a small section of the floor in her new home – only to realise it was supposed to be much lighter in colour.

In a video uploaded on her Dandy Cleans TikTok channel, the woman is horrified to discover the dark colour of her wood laminate floor is actually a thick crust of dirt.

She then scrubs at it like mad with a pot of Pink Stuff, showing a clean circle of a much brighter wood tone.

In the caption, with vomit emojis, she wrote: "When I moved in I just thought the floor was dark."

The video has been watched more than 700,000 times since it was uploaded on February 10 and many people in the comments reckon they were equally disgusted.

A shocked viewer said: "Omg this would have me scrubbing the floor all day."

"Watch me then scrub that floor every day for months thinking every darker streak is more dirt," admitted another person.

Meanwhile, another fan shared: "One time I spilt something in my mother-in-law’s house and I scrubbed the floor where it happened and it was completely different (colour) than the rest."

Some people couldn't even believe the colour was really caused by dirt and suggested it was stain deliberately applied to real wood floors, but the TikTok user said it was definitely laminate.

In another video, she showed a clean section of the floor hidden under a rug to prove it really was supposed to be that colour.

This comes after a 29p cleaning hack showed a clever way to restore a rusty iron so it looks as good as new.

Another cleaning fanatic showed how to make the toaster look sparkling even after it has been burned.
