Apparently happiness began for Kevin Jonas a decade ago. While he has much to celebrate with the reunion of his band and bros, The Jonas Brothers, and their album Happiness Begins hitting the top of the charts, there’s another reason he is especially joyous this July 2. And he made sure to let his wife Danielle know on Instagram.
A romantic post-er
Everyone has their own engagement story. Thankfully for Kevinand Danielle, theirs was photographed so they literally have the memory to lookback on.
On July 2, Kevin posted a picture of himself down on one knee proposing to then-girlfriend Danielle. He captioned the image with a sweet note to his wife, saying, “10 years ago I asked @daniellejonas to spend the rest of life with me. I am so lucky to have found my best friend early and to spend this life with you. I love you so much! Thank you for saying yes!”
Kevin often shows affection to his wife on social media. For their ninth anniversary last December, Kevin said on an Instagram post, “I can’t believe I have been lucky enough to call you my wife and best friend for 9 years. “It feels like yesterday waiting at the end of an isle on a snow filled day in NY. The excitement and anticipation was taking over knowing I had found the love of my life and getting the opportunity to be the best version of myself for you every single day. I love you @daniellejonas to the moon and back. Happy anniversary!”
Danielle is also vocal toward her hubby when posting. On Valentine’s Day, she captioned a picture of the two of them on Instagram saying, “Happy Valentina’s day .. thank you for everything you do for our family. There is no one like you your heart is so big. ♥️ I love you for that.”
How he popped the question
According to People, Kevin proposed to Danielle, a former hairdresser, after arriving in New Jersey following a concert in Vancouver. “It was tough performing last night, knowing that I was going to ask the biggest question in my life to the most amazing girl in the world,” Kevin told People.
Kevin knocked on the door of Danielle’s New Jersey home that early Wednesday morning in July, and in traditional romantic style, dropped down to his knee to ask her to marry him, as People reported. He gave her a cushion-cut diamond ring that Kevin designed himself with Jacob & Co.
Kevindidn’t have to wait long for a response. “She said yes, yes, yes like 500 timessuper fast in a row,” he told People.
According to Danielle, who was then Danielle Deleasa, she wasn’t aware of Kevin’s celebrity status when she met him in 2007. “I didn’t know who the Jonas Brothers were,” she said.
Kevin’s parents were thrilled and welcomed Danielle with open arms. “Our hearts are filled with joy today and we are happy to share with you that our son Kevin has asked Danielle for her hand in marriage,” Denise and Kevin Jonas Sr. told People. “Her answer was yes, and it is such a blessing that she will be joining our family. Kevin and Danielle have not yet set a date. Family is very dear to us, and we hope we have raised Kevin to be a wonderful man and husband. Please join us in our family’s celebration and in congratulating Kevin and Danielle. Thank you for all of your support.”
Kevin’s younger brothers Joe and Nick congratulated the pair via Twitter at the time, saying “Congrats big brother…..Dani welcome to the family, we can’t wait to have you join us on the road!”
First comes love … then comes marriage … then comes two beautiful kids …
The coupled wed on December 19, 2009. They have two daughters, Alena, 5, and Valentina, 2, and they are clearly Kevin’s number one fans. He consistently posts adorable pics of his daughters on Instagram with loving captions, clearly enjoying fatherhood.
A lot hashappened for the young couple in the past 10 years. It looks like happinesscontinues for the Jonases.
