Dr Dre speaks out from ‘hospital bed after suffering brain aneurysm’

Dr Dre has shared a statement, just hours after it emerged that he had been rushed to intensive care after suffering from a brain aneurysm.

The music mogul, 55, is currently being treated in Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, after falling ill on Monday and was subsequently rushed to the hospital which is favoured by Hollywood's elite.

Sharing an update with his social media followers, Dre, whose real name is Andre Young penned: "Thanks to my family, friends and fans for their interest and well wishes. I’m doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team. I will be out of the hospital and back home soon. Shout out to all the great medical professionals at Cedars. One Love!!"

Earlier, it was reported that he was in a "stable and lucid" condition whilst medics ran tests to discover the cause of his sudden aneurysm.
