Jesy Nelson’s alleged ex Sean Sagar ‘to move to Hollywood after sudden split’

After nine months of dating, Jesy Nelson and actor Sean Sagar have allegedly called time on their romance – and it appears "work" could have been at the crux of it all.

According to recent reports, the 29-year-old Little Mix star had been smitten with the Our Girl actor, but they were not on the same page when it came to their careers.

With Sean hoping to tackle the big screen, and Jesy's recent exit from Little Mix, it is reported their career plans didn't align.

It is claimed the pair decided to enjoy some time together over the festive period before opting to go their separate ways.

An insider reportedly told The Sun on Sunday : "Sean is determined to make it as an actor and knows that time is of the essence.

"Jesy is looking at her own future too, so the time just wasn’t right for them."

The publication also claimed that Sean would be looking to "relocate" to America "as soon as he can".

Daily Star has contacted both Sean and Jesy's reps for comment.

It comes as no surprise that Sean would want to follow in the same footsteps as his brother Nick Sagar, 32, who has recently found success on the popular Netflix film series The Princess Switch.

Sean's older brother also landed starring roles in hit US television dramas Supergirl and Shadowhunters.

Meanwhile, Jesy is taking time to focus on herself after leaving Little Mix, with band members Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards becoming a trio.

Back in December, Jesy shared an emotional statement to announce that she was officially exiting the girl group for good.

She penned: "The truth is recently being in the band has really taken a toll on my mental health.

"I find the constant pressure of being in a girl group and living up to expectations very hard."

She continued: "I need to spend some time with the people I love, doing things that make me happy.

"I'm ready to embark on a new chapter in my life – I'm not sure what it's going to look like right now, but I hope you'll still be there to support me."
