Kanye West is planning a trip to meet Vladimir Putin and perform in Russia

Hit maker, Kanye West, is set to perform his first-ever show in a gospel Sunday service in Russia and plans to meet with President Vladimir Putin.

The American artist, 46, will perform his first ever show in Moscow with his Christian Sunday Service gospel at either Crocus City Hall theatre or the Grand Sports Arena, where much of the 1980 Moscow Olympic Games were held.

The announcement came after it had been reported that Kanye aims to expand his business empire in Russia.

Sources told Billboard that Kanye, a longtime supporter of Putin, is looking forward to making Russia a second home.

The former partner to Kim Kardashian and with whom he shares four kids plans to invite Putin to attend the gospel performance as a special guest.

Kanye's representative said that the performance is "something he's been wanting to do since he debuted the Sunday Service project in 2019".

His strategic advisor, Ameer Sudan, said: "Kanye knows what's going on more than the average human being; he's well aware of things. And it's nothing against the United States or to cause conflicts, but Ye is Ye — he can't be controlled."

Kanye, who recently changed his title to Ye has been a fan of the controversial figure for a while and even called himself a 'Young Putin' during an interview on the Drink Champs podcast.

During President Trump's administration, Kanye vocally supported the controversial president, Donald Trump, and on many occasions donned the MAGA (Make America Great Again) hat.

In 2020, the dad-of-four, Kanye, even entered into the run for the presidency – after an appalling campaign, he only qualified for the ballot in 12 states.

The announcement comes after Kanye revealed he had an "instant connection" with the actress Julia Fox and have since gone on a string of lavish dates as they confirm their romance.

The 44-year-old, who shares four children with his ex Kim Kardashian, has recently bought a five-bedroom home in LA's exclusive Hidden Hills which is reportedly right opposite his estranged wife's house.
