Love Island’s Jack Fincham announces death of grandmother in emotional statement

Love Island winner Jack Fincham has taken to social media to tragically reveal his beloved grandmother Kath has passed away.

The pen salesman, who won the 2018 series alongside Dani Dyer, took to Instagram to confirm the sad news.

Jack, 28, shared a pic to his 2.3 million fans: "Rest in peace my beautiful Nanny I love you and miss you so much already Nanny Kath.

"I told you everything and you always gave me the best advice.

"You were the rock of the family and not a day will go by when I won’t think of you.

"Love you so much you were the best Nanny I could of ever asked for I have so many amazing memories with you."

Jack signed off the post: "I know you'll be looking down on us all.

"You're finally at peace now."

Jack's post was quickly flooded with messages from supportive fans.

One follower replied: "So sorry to hear this love to you and all your family at this sad time."

Another added: "Much love mate nothing worse keep your chin up she will be proud of you."

"So sorry for your loss Jack! Sending you and your family my prayers," a third continued.

Meanwhile, a fourth replied: "So sorry for your loss."

Speaking in January, new dad Jack opened up to Daily Star Online about switching shots of booze to baby bottles and changing nappies.

Chatting to Daily Star Online at the 2020 National Television Awards, Jack said: "I wasn't nervous about telling people because I was so happy.

"I didn't really think about what people would think about past relationships.

"I was so happy I wanted to let everyone know my amazing news.

"I couldn't see how anyone could have a bad thing to say to say anyway.

"It was just amazing news, it's a new life, you know what I mean."

The reality TV lad added:"I mean this, I had tears in my eyes.

"I was overwhelmed from the amount of support I have had from my fellow love islanders and friend and family.

"It is such a special thing for me. Sharing it with everyone has made me realise everyone was on my team."
