Alison Hammond wasn’t impressed on This Morning today when Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford introduced an upcoming segment with a fitness writer who admitted she wouldn’t hire overweight people regardless of their ability for the job in question. Alison was furious with her claims that overweight people are lazy and invited her to follow her around for the day.

“Does the truth hurt or is she bang out of order?” Eamonn asked while introducing the interview coming up in the show.

“So what’s she saying, because I’m big she doesn’t want to work with me?” Alison asked.

Ruth replied: “She thinks if you’re overweight, you’re lazy.”

“I’m not being funny, come and train me babes let’s have a laugh, we’ll have fun and I’m not lazy,” Alison said. “I’ll probably run rings round you.”

“Come and train me, I’m up for it, how about that?” Alison added.

Later, Samantha spoke to Eamonn and Ruth to discuss her controversial views.

Eamonn remarked: “There will be a lot of people mortally offended by this and hurt as well.”

“I think if you’re obsessed you knock eight years off your life,” Samantha said. “We need to make it more inconvenient to be obese.”
