Corrie star Alexandra Mardell delights fans as she drops relationship bombshell

Coronation Street babe Alexandra Mardell took to her Instagram account to proudly announce she is moving in with her long-term boyfriend.

The actress, who has played Emma Brooker in the ITV soap since 2017, first met now boyfriend Joe Parker seven years ago when they were both studying at the Guilford School of Acting and they marked their two year anniversary last month.

And the pair, who often share love-up snaps on Insta, have started their new year with plans of taking their relationship to the next level, and the actress cannot wait.

In a heartwarming Insta post, Alexandra gushed: "GSA Grad Ball 2015 – We were just friends, 2 years later we were a couple, now 2 years together, he’s moving in! So many exciting events and adventures already and still so many more to come!

"We have such a laugh! Love you massively! So excited for all the laughs, date nights, lazy days, long walks and chicken wings we want!

"There were too many pics to choose from but here are some of the biggies! Jan 2020!."

Speaking about their first meeting, Ali told OK! Magazine in October: "'We were both in other relationships, I was friends with Joe’s girlfriend and he knew my boyfriend."

Joe joined her for the interview and revealed the couple were planning moving in together.

He said "We talk about moving in together. I’m thinking about moving back to Manchester, so that will be the next step."

Alexandra won Best Newcomer at the British Soap Awards early last year.

She opened up to OK! about how a recent storyline in which her character lost her dad reminded her of her own personal heartbreak.

She told the magazine that the storyline was reminiscent of her own loss when her dad, Michael, died aged 54 from a sudden heart attack after suffering from undiagnosed cardiomyopathy.
