Stacey (played by Lacey Turner) has been forced to turn to her loan shark after her ex-husband Ryan Malloy (played by Neil McDermott) stopped contributing to paying towards the child maintenance payments. In upcoming EastEnders scenes, she is set to take some extreme actions to pay back her loan but she could find herself in a heap more trouble, leaving Lily Slater (Lillia Turner) and her unborn grandchild at risk.

In upcoming scenes, Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) is thrilled when Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) offers to treat her to a Mother’s Day lunch at The Vic.

However, when they get to the pub, Rocky (Brian Conley) is there with Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell) and Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) and is desperate to keep a lid on how he and Freddie have been making their money.

Stacey is still struggling to try and find some extra money and can’t understand how Freddie is so well off.

Rocky’s attempts to try and keep his and Freddie’s endeavours a secret are soon exposed when Stacey and Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) catch them in a clandestine meeting in the laundrette back room.

After interrupting their meeting, Stacey is relieved that she finally has the money she owes her loan shark, Shiv (Peter Caulfield).

However, when she meets up with him, the dangerous criminal asks for another £200 by tomorrow and threatens her with violence if she doesn’t pay up.

Will she be able to get ahold of the money in time?

What will Shiv do to Stacey if she doesn’t pay up?

Stacey becomes desperate and having made no money, Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) comes up with an idea to raid Big Mo’s (Laila Morse) stock of wedding dresses.

Elsewhere, Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) turns down the chance to be Alfie’s glamorous assistant but suggests Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) would be the perfect fit.

At first, Linda is not in the mood to play dress up for Alfie, but after watching him crash and burn she swoops in to save the day.

Stacey is terrified as time ticks down to Shiv’s deadline.

Can Alfie provide and make the money she needs in time?

Her declining funds and struggle to make ends meet have come after Lily’s father Ryan stopped paying his child maintenance payments after an argument.

He recently returned to Walford after finding out that Lily was pregnant, with actor McDermott saying: “When I heard what the story was I was really pleased that the stars aligned and I was able to revisit Ryan and set foot back on the Square.

“It was so lovely to see so many old friends and to work with Shona [McGarty] and Lacey again, as well as to meet and work with Ryan’s daughter, played beautifully by Lillia.”

Executive Producer Chris Clenshaw hinted last month that Stacey would find herself ‘doing something she’s never done before’ in an effort to protect her family and her unborn grandchild.

In desperation, Stacey recently turned to stealing cash from one of the offices she cleans after discovering a tin of money while cleaning up after a boozy party.

Actress Lacey Turner recently told Metro.co.uk: “In her head, she’s lying for a good reason and she’s done it for a good reason.

“She’s many things, but Stacey isn’t a thief, she never has been, so it indicates just how desperate she’s got and how far she is willing to go.”

EastEnders airs weekdays from 7:30pm on BBC One.
