The beginning of a new week can only mean one thing in the land of soap, and that’s plenty more drama!
It’s an eventful week for the residents of Albert Square in EastEnders, as Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) lashes out at Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), while Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) receives her verdict.
Meanwhile, Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) is taken hostage in Coronation Street by gangster Mick Costello, but Eileen (Sue Cleaver) is present also, meaning that she’s in grave danger too!
Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) reconnects with Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) for a romantic anniversary meal in Emmerdale, while Sienna Blake (Anna Passey) is left somewhat concerned in Hollyoaks.

Gray lashes out at Linda in EastEnders
Gray struggles with his guilt following Chantelle’s death, and thus he forgets to pick Mia and Mackenzie up from school. Linda does it for him, and she does some cleaning too as the solicitor heads for a lie down. However, when he wakes up, he discovers that she’s washed Chantelle’s mug and lashes out at her.

Todd and Eileen are taken hostage in Coronation Street
Eileen is tasked with identifying a body, but with Todd desperate for her to claim that said dead body is him, she struggles. She’s ultimately unable to go through with it, leaving Todd seething, and as the week progresses, gangster Mick Costello turns up and takes both Todd and Eileen hostage at gun point!
One to watch: Wednesday October 14 at 7:30pm on ITV.
Vanessa makes an appearance in Emmerdale
Charity is concerned about her relationship with Vanessa, but her paranoia subsides when she has a virtual romantic meal with her fiancee to celebrate their anniversary.

Sienna in concerned in Hollyoaks
Sienna fears for Liberty following the birth of her baby, and soon becomes aware of the fact that something is not quite right.

Whitney’s fate is revealed in EastEnders
Whitney’s QC comes down with food poisoning ahead of the final statements, but Gray shows up in the nick of time. Will he be able to save Whitney? The day of the verdict arrives, but what say the jury? Guilty, or Not Guilty?
One to watch: Thursday October 15 at 7:35pm on BBC One.
Scott blackmails Johnny in Coronation Street
Scott is on cloud nine when Johnny reveals that Ray has offered him a job, but the pub landlord decides to have a word with the hotelier — informing him all about Scott’s past. Scott is fuming when he finds out and blackmails Johnny into being a getaway driver for a job he’s planning — or he’ll tell Jenny everything.

Belle takes revenge in Emmerdale
Belle switches the contents of two vials of veterinary drugs that Jamie keeps in his car. When Jamie informs Paddy about what she has done, Belle denies it at first but then later admits the truth and quits her job.

Theresa McQueen returns in Hollyoaks
Theresa makes her highly-anticipated return to the village, but just what is it that’s brought her back?

Stacey gets shock as Martin and Ruby return in EastEnders
Kat and Jean are shocked upon seeing a photo of Martin and Ruby on social media, and attempt to keep the news from Stacey. However, she later discovers the truth for herself when the pair arrive home, leaving her mortified.

Ray makes Gary an offer in Coronation Street
Ray offers Gary £150,000 to buy the factory, but Gary declines. However, his interest is piqued when David tells him Ray tried to buy his house, and Kevin informs him that he had to sell Ray the premises of the garage.
