EastEnders star Dean Gaffney has been involved in another car crash incident just four months after a collision on the M25 in Essex. The actor, best known for playing Robbie Jackson in the BBC One soap, was involved in what his representatives describe as a ‘minor accident’ outside the studios at Elstree.
His car bumped with that of a teenager and both men were seen examining the damage last week. Nobody was injured.
A local source told The Sun: ‘I heard the smash, came out and saw Dean Gaffney by the side of the road. He was looking at his car and so was the other driver. They didn’t seem hurt.’
Dean has a history of unfortunate motoring related incidents as in 2017, he was banned from driving for nine months afrer refusing to say who was behind the wheel of his Mercedes when it was caught speeding. And in 2013, he was involved in a car crash after which he said it taught him lessons about wearing a seatbelt.
At the time, he shared: ‘I know I’m a naughty boy and it takes something like this – I always learn the hard way in my life. I was trapped inside [the car]. It reads worse than it actually was. I mean the fact that I didn’t have the seatbelt on. The NHS really looked after me and I want to say thank you to those guys – and they said that had I been wearing a seatbelt I probably would have just got whiplash and I would have walked away with none of this.
‘It could have been a lot worse. One inch down and I would have been blind, and one inch up I would have been brain damaged. So there’s so many things that could have gone wrong and the fact that I’m able to walk away and obviously you’ve got this campaign with the seatbelt thing, it’s so important – I can’t stress that enough.’
On screen, Robbie was recently involved in a storyline which saw him refuse to let his ex Nita take their son Sami home but when police involvement was threatened, Robbie backed down.
