Over the past few months, Emmerdale viewers have watched villain Meena Jutla (played by Paige Sandhu) get away with murdering Leanna Cavanagh (Mimi Slinger). The nurse has also continued to isolate her boyfriend David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden) and cause a wedge between the shop owner and Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) who he clearly has feelings for. Despite the duo sharing a kiss behind Meena’s back while she was in Ibiza, David has told Victoria to stay away from him.
In Thursday’s double episode, Victoria could be seen getting close with Ellis (Aaron Anthony) as they enjoyed a few drinks at The Woolpack.
Ellis was trying to convince Victoria to sign up for the survival challenge, and after a while, she reluctantly agreed.
Priya (Fiona Wade), who is romantically involved with Ellis, watched on in jealousy with David who was also sat at the bar.
“We’re supposed to be working together on this survival thing, but I think he has forgotten all about it,” Priya raged.
“All work and no play,” Bob (Tony Audenshaw) chipped in as she replied: “Gets the job done.”
She continued: “I just don’t want Kim thinking we’re not taking it seriously.”
Priya then received a text from Kim (Claire King) about the land they had planned to do the survival event on.
Turning to Ellis she protested: “You know how important it is.”
“Look if you need to go,” Victoria chipped in as Ellis insisted, he didn’t need to leave the pub.
As Priya left to go and speak with Kim, Ellis took the opportunity to convince David and Meena to sign up for the survival course.
Later on in the pub, David continued to watch Ellis and Victoria getting closer.
“Been stood up?” Bob asked David as he looked at Victoria.
“Looks like it,” David replied as Bob laughed: “Only joking. Meena is not going to let you go in a hurry. I’ve seen the way she looks at you.”
As she took their empty glasses to the bar, she took the chance to try and make amends with her pal.

David wasn’t having any of it as he pointed out she was getting close with Ellis.
“I was worried about you,” Victoria said as David hit back: “For no good reason.”
“David, I just can’t stop caring. Are you sure everything is okay?” Victoria asked.
The café owner replied: “It will be if you back off.”
As Victoria questioned David on his behaviour, he looked towards Ellis as he indicated something was going on between them.
“Wow,” Victoria said in shock. “I am having a drink with a friend, not that it is any of your business.”
“Seems like he’s making a night of it,” David said in jealousy.
“It’s called having fun,” Victoria hit back. “You should try it if Meena ever lets you off the lead.”
In upcoming scenes, Meena, David, Victoria and Ellis will all be taking part in the survival course.
Meena already has her eye on Victoria, but will she set her sights on Ellis during the course?
If the evil nurse realises there is a spark between her love rival and Ellis, will she get the ultimate revenge by framing Victoria for Ellis’ murder?
Meena has killed before and it is only a matter of time before she strikes again.
Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7pm on ITV.
