Emmerdale's Brenda Walker underwent a glamorous transformation on this evening's episode, ditching her blue rinse for a shade of red.
The cafe owner, played by Lesley Dunlop, could be seen warring with Faith Dingle in the opening scenes of the episode, clashing heads over their ties to Eric Pollard.
However, it wasn't the rivalry that caught certain fans' attention – but Brenda's stunning strawberry blonde locks.
In previous scenes, her hair had been silver and cropped, but this evening she showcased a new ‘do, complete with a sweeping side fringe and a soft tint.
Taking to Twitter, one fan wondered: "Has Brenda done something with her hair? She looks completely different."
"Probably one of the many lockdown hairstyle changes," added a second.
While a third remarked: "Continuity issues Brenda's hair colour changed overnight."
After Faith left the village unexpectedly, Eric (Chris Chittell) struck up a romance with Brenda, the pair forming a close bond over recent months.
However, Faith's return has left Brenda feeling insecure about her relationship, fearing Eric's old feelings for the flighty Dingle matriarch could resurface.
Tensions were high in the cafe this evening, as Brenda caught Faith (Sally Dexter) using her customer loo to brush her teeth.
A slinging match ensued, only for Cain (Jeff Hordley) and Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) to interrupt by walking into the coffee shop.
Disgusted by the sight of his mother, Cain immediately tried to walk back out, only for Faith to plead with him.
When Cain was young, Faith learned he'd fathered a child with Cara Robinson, but sent her away and asked her to keep the baby from her son.
The truth came out in 2019, and Cain banished his mum from the village, sickened by her lies.
Words were exchanged this evening, and eventually, it was just Moira and Brenda left in the cafe, as they rolled their eyes over the drama that seems to follow Faith wherever she goes.
Is Brenda right to keep up her guard around Faith?
Emmerdale airs on weekdays at 7pm on ITV with an extra helping on Thursdays at 8pm.
