Viewers of Alan Carr's Epic Gameshow were distracted during Saturday night's episode after the correct price of an iron was revealed.

During the Price Is Right-style show, contestants were tasked with guessing the price of a fancy steam iron.

The closest guess was £207 – but the appliance actually cost a whopping £420.

Stunned fans took to social media to share their shock at the revelation, with one writing: "That's a bit high for an iron isn't it? £420 Jesus Christ where did they get that from?"

Someone else said: "£420 for an iron?! Go to Argos or Currys!"

A third social media user penned: "£420 for an iron. I like the creased look thanks!"

Another incredulous fan typed: "£420 for an iron!!! Are you kidding me?"

Others were just concerned about how large the iron was – leaving some wondering how one would wield it.

"Is it me or is that iron massive?" someone asked on Twitter.

Another wrote: "Steam iron looks more like a wallpaper stripper the f***ing size of it!"

And later, the winner of the fancy steam iron angered viewers as he admitted his mum does all his ironing.

He eventually left the show with the iron and a brand new sofa for his mum – maybe that'll be enough to make it up to her!

Host Alan Carr also had viewers in stitches as he recalled a disastrous encounter on a trampoline.

"One of my moobs concussed a seven-year-old!" Alan chuckled as contestants competed to guess the price of the backyard jumping equipment.

Contestant Ady was the one to make it to the Epic Showcase, after scoring 55 when spinning the wheel.

Up for grabs in the final round were a Toyota Aygo, a holiday to the Dominican Republic, a camping set and a tech bundle.

Ady was allowed a £3,000 buffer as he made his guess – and decided to punt for £25,000.
