Good Morning Britain got off to an exciting start on Wednesday when Piers Morgan, 55, and Susanna Reid, 49, announced there was a mouse scurrying around the studios.
Weather girl Laura Tobin, 39, spotted the critter and was spooked, with Piers saying: "It was like a crocodile had arrived on the set."
Piers announced the sighting, saying: "Breaking news – there's a mouse on the studio floor, there's been shrieks and wails, there's been a lot of drama here in the commercial break."
He mentioned how much Ranvir Singh, 43, disliked them too, and she confessed she "saw it and screamed".
Meanwhile, Laura said: "I saw something move, then I was like, 'Aaagh!'"
Piers went on: "The mouse came out, it's literally this big [holds fingers together].
"We've got a sighting, a mouse in the studio."
The cheeky host continued: "What shall we call it? Shall we call it Dan Walker, the little mouse?"
He then put on a high pitched voice, mocking: "Ooh, ooh, don't be measly to me, save me some cheese and milk."
Viewers were loving the added drama, with one tweeting: "Watching everyone panic about a mouse in the studio and then seeing how small it was has made my morning. Thanks for that."
Another joked: "I really love mice, they are really cute. It was a job as Studio Floor Mousanager."
Later on, Piers decided a name change might be better for the rodent, as it ran out of the Good Morning Britain studios.
He suggested it should be named after a politician instead, saying: "It doesn't want to appear on Good Morning Britain, it's just gone into the This Morning studios."
A number of high profile politicians and ministers have been boycotting Good Morning Britain for months during the coronavirus pandemic, with Piers questioning them hard before their self-imposed ban.
