Arlene Phillips has warned she’ll be a nightmare on I’m A Celebrity because she’s obsessed with being tidy.
The former Strictly judge, 78, fears her fellow campmates will hate her for it.
She told the Daily Star Sunday : “One of the hardest things for me is that I am totally, obsessively tidy.
"I irritate people to the core when I pick up a newspaper that either isn’t folded correctly or has just been put on one side and my partner or my daughter hasn’t read it. I drive them mad.”
Arlene isn’t planning to hold back in camp.
She added: “I’m sure I shall be invading everybody’s own space trying to tidy up and I’m sure they’re going to go, ‘Get the hell out of here’.
“Some people might love it, because I’ll clean up after them, and others might hate it.”
Arlene is set to be the oldest contestant in I’m A Celebrity history when the show returns to TV tonight.
The legendary choreographer thinks her age may force her to duck out of the challenges — even if it means leaving the group without any dinner.
She said: “In everything I do, I’m always the oldest, so I’m used to that. I’m going to give it a bash. Who knows what’s going to happen in the moment?
"I have no idea. In my head, I think, ‘Yeah, you’ve got to be brave and courageous and take on whatever’s asked’.
“But I am definitely weaker than I was. Whatever I can do, I will try to do. And really, if I can’t, I’m going to have to say, ‘You know what, guys, I will give up my food for next two or three days — just share it out’.
"There’s only so much everybody can do.
“I’ve always been trying to reach out to those that can’t do things. Those that can, speed ahead in life. Those that can’t, often need a hand. So I won’t be ashamed to say that.”
After six decades in the entertainment industry, Arlene has no plans to stop working.
It is rumoured she will be a judge on the new series of Dancing on Ice — replacing John Barrowman, 54, on the panel.
She said: “I very much want to do lots of different things before I die. And often, it’s things that it’s out of my comfort zone. I’ve done a lot of things that I never thought I could do or would do.”
