Jamie Foxx’s daughter claims actor ‘was out of hospital for weeks’

First look at Jamie Foxx’s Beat Shazam

Earlier this month, it was revealed Jamie Foxx had been rushed to hospital following a “medical emergency”.

At the time, the actor’s family took to his Instagram Stories to ask fans for “prayers” and “privacy”.

Although they claimed Jamie was “already on his way to recovery,” conflicting reports claimed his family were “preparing for the worst”.

However, on Friday the star’s daughter Corinne Foxx took to social media to hit back at the false claims.

The 29-year-old shared a screenshot of a false headline and revealed the Django star “has been out of the hospital for weeks.”

On her Instagram story, Corrine wrote: “Update from the family: Sad to see how the media runs wild.

“My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday.”

She also thanked fans for their “prayers and support” as her father recovered in hospital.

As she set the record straight on Jamie’s health, Corinne also teased an upcoming project and shared: “We have an exciting work announcement coming next week too!”

On May 3, Jamie broke his silence and thanked fans as he wrote: “Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed.”

The Spider-Man: No Way Home star was rushed to hospital in Atlanta, Georgia on April 11 following a “serious medical complication” while filming Netflix film, Back In Action.

Although his illness remains undisclosed Jamie’s Hollywood friends and former co-stars shared well-wishes on social media.

Back in April Bad Boys’ Martin Lawrence told Extra that Foxx was “doing better”.

“My prayers go out for him every night and just wishing the best for him, one of the best that we got in Hollywood. Not only one of the best entertainers, but a good person.”

Comedian Kevin Hart also revealed Jamie was on the road to recovery: “The dope thing is that he’s getting better in his situation, and everybody’s prayers, everybody’s love, energy, all that stuff is seen and felt [by him],”

“In this case, you just want the guy to get out of the situation and get back home.”

Speaking on the Impaulsive podcast he added: “I don’t know the details or the exact details as to what’s going on, but to my knowledge, there’s a lot of progression and a world of better.”
