MAFS UK’s Adrian hopes he and Thomas will be show’s answer to Ekin-Su and Davide

Married at First Sight UK star Adrian Sanderson married his husband Thomas Hartley on the E4 show in front of his friends and family in the new series.

We're still getting to know each of this year's couples, but there's already been unprecedented amounts of drama thanks to the infamous dinner parties and emotional commitment ceremonies.

Thomas, 31, has been involved in the action more than a few times already, but fans seem to be backing him and Adrian, 37, to go all the way – and have even shared their hopes for the pair to become MAFS UK's answer to Love Island's Ekin-Su, 28, and Davide, 27.

One viewer tweeted: "Secretly hoping Thomas and Adrian are the Ekin and Davide of #mafsuk. Yes they shout at each other too much but they're bloody funny and I can't help rooting for them."

And Adrian hinted that he agreed with the comment as he retweeted their remark, before retweeting another that said: "Thomas & Adrian being mad at one another and being Scousers make it SO much better! #MAFSUK."

A third fan also wrote: "Adrian is actually a sweetie. Golden retriever energy. Speak your truth lad. #mafsuk."

This week, viewers were in tears over the couple when the pair took part in the Honesty Box challenge at this week's dinner party.

Adrian was asked what he would change about Thomas, and he replied: "I would change situations in life that have led you to your defences.

"I would change every one of them, and I would stand there in front of them and bat them away," leading Thomas to cover his eyes and well up in front of everyone at the dinner table.

Through tears, Thomas replied: "Can I just say, I respect you, you’ve listened and heard me, and I love you as a person and I really care about you.

"You mean the world to me."

Breaking down in tears, he added: "Thank you for having my back," to which Adrian said: "That’s alright. It’s alright."

Relationship expert Mel, 50, confessed instantly: "That is the most beautiful thing I think I’ve ever heard in all of my time in this experiment."

Mel previously spoke to OK! about the current series ahead of its launch, teasing: "It is bigger than ever.

"What I love about this season is that we’ve taken all of the elements from the Aussie version of the show that the Brits love and brought them over.”

Married At First Sight UK continues at 9pm on E4.
