Scott Maslen gives Maisie Smith warning about losing weight ahead of Strictly

EastEnders actor Scott Maslen has given his co-star Maisie Smith some advice ahead of her debut on Strictly Come Dancing 2020.

Scott, who appeared on the BBC series in 2010, came fourth place with dancing pro Natalie Lowe.

Maisie, is one of many soap stars that have taken part in the competition, including last year’s winner Kelvin Fletcher.

And while all her co-stars are excited for the actress to take part, Scott has warned Maisie about how much weight she will lose throughout the show.

‘Everyone I’ve spoken to, they’re just so excited,’ Maisie told Metro.co.uk.

‘They’ve all said, “it’s the most amazing experience and to have fun and be yourself”, which I need to keep remembering.

‘And, Scott Masden told me, “you’re going to lose a lot of weight so keep eating” which I can definitely do,’ she added.

Speaking about having the Strictly make over, Maisie went on to explain that she was excited about being all ‘glammed up’.

‘I’m most excited about that because obviously at work, you know, Tiff my characters’ look, it’s pretty much the same,’ she added.

‘It has been for the last three years, so it will be quite exciting to now get to look glamorous every single weekend.’

As well as Maisie, Nicola Adams, Caroline Quentin, Clara Amfo, Jacqui Smith and Ranvir Singh will be all representing the girls on this year’s line-up.

Meanwhile, Jamie Laing, Jason Bell, JJ Chalmers, Max George, Bill Bailey and HRVY are the guys about to jump and jive their way in an effort to win the glitterball.

Strictly Come Dancing kicks off on October 17 on BBC One.
