Shetland fans all make the same demand after Jimmy Perez's final scenes | The Sun

SHETLAND viewers were reduced to tears after detective Jimmy Perez said a final goodbye to his team.

Jimmy bid farewell to Shetland viewers on Wednesday night after he decided it was the right time to step away from his role as a detective.

After solving his last-ever case, Jimmy handed over the baton to an emotional Tosh who broke down in tears over his decision to leave.

However, as the scenes unfolded, Jimmy appeared to confirm his replacement was Tosh.

"I'm not sure I can do this without you," Tosh said with tears in her eyes.

"Tosh, you're ready, trust me," Jimmy told his colleague before she added: "I do. I just don't have your confidence."
