Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) is in a precarious and unhinged position in EastEnders as the guilt of the murder of his wife Chantelle overcomes him.
And as the burden of his montrous acts weigh heavily on the lawyer, he was recently seen contemplating confessing the truth about what he did.
He is unable to cope with the memories of what he did and how he treated Chantelle, particularly after condemning Leo King, a very similar man, in court.
As Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) awaits her fate from the jury, Gray is contemplating his own future.
And he is the talk of some parts of Albert Square too as Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) confides in Shirley (Linda Henry) that Gray viciously snapped at her when she was helping him out by cleaning up his house.
Shirley and Linda are both concerned about Gray’s recent behaviour and therefore the welfare of the children, who he earlierforgot to pick up from school.
But will one of them confront Gray with their worries or perhaps share their concerns with a member of the Taylor family?
And as a desperate Gray clearly heads for the edge, something has to give as he is haunted.
But what will he do next?
