Ever since The Bachelor ended, Colton Underwood and Cassie Randolph have been flooding everyone’s Instagram timelines with cute pictures. There are photos of them cuddling, pictures of them staring at each other, pictures of them kissing. To the naked eye, it might seem like they have a pretty good relationship.
But if you look a little closer, some major cracks start to show.
Randolph and Underwood’s relationship
Randolph and Underwood met when Underwood was the Bachelor. He immediately was drawn to Randolph and ended up choosing her before it even got down to the final two. Unfortunately for the former football player, this freaked Randolph out and she decided to just send herself home.
Not one to accept defeat, Underwood threatened to quit the show and went to Randolph’s hotel room to try to win her back. He promised Randolph that he wouldn’t propose and that they could just date and see how things went. Reluctantly, Randolph agreed.
Usually, at the end of a season of The Bachelor, the woman has a ring on her finger. Not only have Underwood and Randolph not gotten engaged, but they haven’t even moved in together.
“We are trying to do everything as normal as possible,” Underwood told Extra . “I don’t think you realize how many important steps you miss in the Bachelor process, which is nothing against them. We want to make sure we do this the right way. Statistically speaking, for Bachelors, it’s not very good odds, so I think us going against what other Bachelor and Bachelorette couples have done is probably going to work out in our favor.”
Underwood did move to L.A. to be closer to his girlfriend, but Randolph now lives in West Hollywood.
“We both feel like … living our separate lives but still coming together at the end of the day is what’s most important for us and what’s the right step for where we’re at in our relationship,” he continued.
Rumors of a breakup
Like we mentioned, Randolph and Underwood love to take pictures with one another. But after the Fourth of July, fans noticed an extreme slow down in the number of pictures that they posted of one another. And by slow down, we mean neither of them posted the other at all. In addition to that, Underwood stopped his excessive commenting on pictures on Randolph’s profile.
In Instagram influencer world, those are definitely signs of a breakup.
Almost two weeks after the Fourth, Underwood decided to quiet fans and post a picture of him and Randolph being goofy in the car.
“Hi, we missed you,” the caption read.
Less than two days later, he posted another picture of them cuddling with the caption, “we were together…I forgot the rest.”
While this may look like confirmation that everything is fine between them, it all seems a little forced. Randolph has yet to post anything about Underwood on her Instagram, which means that the damage control might be a little one-sided.
