The second season of The Boys recently came to a shocking end as the identity of the supe behind the head explosions was revealed as Victoria Neuman (played by Claudia Doumit). However, not much more was revealed about why she was going on a spate of killings and who she was aligned with. Here’s everything you need to know from the comic book series.
Is Victoria Neuman in The Boys comic books?
The season finale of The Boys season two ended with the reveal politician Neuman was actually behind the head explosions.
Since episode one, she has been killing off different people who might be able to expose who she really is.
This included deputy director Raynor (Jennifer Esposito) in episode one as well as the bloodbath at the Vought hearing.
The truth came out in the final few moments when she killed the Church of the Collective’s leader Alistair Adana (Goran Visnjic).
Not much more has been revealed yet however about why she is doing this and who exactly is in charge of her.
Therefore, some fans have been wondering if the comic book series the show is based on offers any more insight.
Neuman is based on a character from the comics called Victor Neuman, whom the show has gender-swapped, just like they did with Stormfront (Aya Cash).
In the comics, he is also known as Vic the Veep and is a former CEO of Vought who later becomes the Vice President of the United States.
He is described as simple-minded and perverted, which makes him easy to manipulate.
Vic the Veep even later becomes President of the United States when Robert Shaefer is killed in an accident.
The character’s reign is short-lived and he ends up meeting a grisly fate at the hands of Homelander (Antony Starr).
The origins are interesting as it seems like Neuman could find herself getting more and more involved in politics.

As well as this, it seems like she is much more involved with Vought than anyone had realised.
However, as viewers will already know, there are several big differences between the two already.
This includes how in the comic books, the character has no superpowers.
As well as this, he is described as simple-minded but fans will know Neuman is the series is far from this.
Speaking to Variety, the show’s creator and showrunner Eric Kripke also revealed a bit more about her and how it will impact season three.
He said: “Having broken most of season three I think we have a pretty good idea of where her story goes and why she’s doing what she’s doing.
“There are some reveals and twists and turns, and similarly to what we’ve done with a lot of other characters from the books.
“Vic Neuman was a man in the books and he ends up getting deeper and deeper into politics as the comics go on.
“It’s the frightening notion that there might be a supe heading deep into American politics, which is screwed up enough already.
“So we start to play Victoria in that way in season three.”
The Boys season 2 is available to stream in full on Amazon Prime Video now.
