The One Show's host Ryan Clark-Neal had to fight back the tears alongside co-presenter Alex Jones as a heroic paramedic called Martin was surprised by his team.
Both Ryan and Alex had to fight back tears as Martin's grateful team wanted to honour his 17-years of service devoted to the NHS as a first responder.
Many thanks were made on the BBC programme, including special praise from a number of celebrities including; football legend Gary Lineker and TV star Matt Lucas.
After the segment had finished, it wasn't just the former Big Brother star who was left wiping his eyes – with fans contacting the show about the emotional footage.
One message read: "The One Big Thank You always gets me teary-eyed."
Another added: "What an incredible human Martin is #TheOneShow."
Martin was left stunned and totally "overwhelmed" as his colleague Karen tricked him into believing he was attending a training session.
He sat watching the spoof video at the fire station for a while before it was unveiled that the snippet he was watching was actually live.
As the first responder ventured out into the car park, he was not only met with people he had saved over the years but his adoring team mates too.
Everyone stood to applaud his tremendous and selfless 17 year career.
Not knowing what to say, Martin bashfully responded: "Oh you lot."
After he'd been thanked by host Alex, Matt Lucas, DJ Dave Pearce and football icon Gary Lineker. he said: "Thank you, I'm absolutely overwhelmed."
As the camera returned to the studio, Rylan and Alex were noticeably upset as they fought back happy tears while celebrating Martin's outstanding commitment.
