When is Dig Deeper released on Netflix?

The documentary series is set to arrive on Netflix on 26 November. 

It consists of four episodes which explores the case of Birgit Meier.

Birgit Meier was a 40 year old woman who went missing from her apartment in the small town of Breitling, Lower Saxony in 1989.

How can I watch it?

At the moment, Dig Deeper will only be available to watch on Netflix.

What happens in Dig Deeper?

Dig Deeper follows the investigation of the disappearance of Birgit Meier.

The case has been unresolved for 31 years, until her brother, policeman Wolfgang Sielaff, began to do his own private research in 2002.

It was only till 2017 Birgit Meier's remains were recovered in 2017 under the concrete floor of a garage of a house on the outskirts of Lüneburg that Kurt-Werner Wichmann occupied in the past.

In January 2018, an autopsy report confirmed that she had been shot which led fingers to point at a possible suspect.

The Netflix's logline for the documentary reads:

"Birgit Meier disappears, but the police have other concerns. Only Wolfgang Sielaff – her brother and himself a police detective – suspects that she is the victim of a brutal crime.

"The search of a suspect's house brings some gruesome things to light."
